Today in chemistry we talked about a fun fact: Granite is made of three different minerals - quartz, feldspar, and mica. Quartz is what most beach sand is made of, and its chemical formula is SiO₂. The black mineral found along the beach after waves sink is the mica. It is perfectly flat even at the molecule level. It can look like gold, but floats in water!
Today we wrapped up our work for the week with some open work time and creating a plan. To be graded in the class, you need to write a plan each week, and then check if your plan works the following week. You will either update your plan if it didn't work, or try it on a challenge question.
