About SLCsWhat is an SLC you may ask? An SLC is a student led conference, which at HTHNC replace the traditional parent-teacher conference. While parents and teachers are an important part of the equation, the student is the one driving the conversation. They are encouraged to voice celebrations, challenges, and future goals. Parents are asked to attend to find out what the students have been doing in class, see project examples, and talk about future goals as a group. Since we encourage a college-going culture here at HTHNC, we also include conversations about potential colleges, how to apply, and how to pay for your education.
